Page 9 of 24 Cornwall pioneers wave power Permission has been granted to build a £28 million ‘electric socket’ for wave devices at Hayle.  How a wave generator will look when placed in position off Cornish waters. Four wave generators will produce enough energy for about 7,500 homes. Andrew George MP has raised worries about the navigational safety of shipping and in particular the fishing industry.
